Transformers
At Garvik Engineering, we design and engineer with our partner transformer assembly teams to provide exceptional products and after-sales support in the U.S. markets. Whether you need utility-scale transmission or distribution voltages stepped down to 480v, 575v, 600v, 240v, 208v, etc., we have you covered.
Our unique approach sets us apart from other suppliers. We focus on customized applications tailored to your specific needs, rather than offering generic shelf units. Under Professional Engineering (P.E.) supervision and in compliance with IEC/IP/CE or UL standards, we:
Review and investigate customer site requirements to engineer specifications/drawings.
Appraise customer needs.
Gather and report, or provide, resources for assembly.
Administer testing.
Issue test reports for warranty commissioning.
Since the 1980’s, Garvik’s partners in manufacturing have built over 6,000 transformers. From 30 VA, to 500 MVA:

Switchgear (Main Distribution Pannels, or “MDPs”)
Garvik Engineering connects the power available from any given utility’s radial or loop feed on the primary side, to the loads served through our custom MDPs. We specialize in Schneider-based switchgear, offering a wide range of MasterPact, Compact, HV/MV/LV, Vacuum, Draw-Out, and standard load breakers from 5 Amps to 6000 Amps.
Our MDPs include:
- Indicating lights for each breaker (On, Off, Trip, etc.)
- ‘Conserv’, ‘EasyLogic’, or ‘PowerLogic’ panel meter with 10 years of data-logging on energy usage, fully compatible with Schneider’s EcoStruxure Power Monitoring software for SCADA, simple load analysis, forecasting, and recording power usage and quality.
- High-performance protective relays with SEL and similar functions, re-closers, UVR/Shunt-Trip, etc., meeting U.S. and enhanced customer standards.
